Their
elder son Simon Gessese was born on September 24/1974, and he
has Masters Degree in Business Administration from New Port University
USA in London, Bachelor Degree in Social Science from Addis Ababa
University and Diploma in Public Relations from Conflans Ste Honorince
Cedex, France. He is the General Manager of GASSP ; he is efficiently involved in Finance, Commercial
Negotiations and Technical Services. His determination for work
forced him to be part of different tasks, thus he had provided
consulting services for different organizations: For instance:
• 2010 - ERTA:on the supply of Tubes for Am Radio transmitters
• 2009 - AACGMMA:on the supply of Tv studio equipment
• 2008 - UNECA: on preparation of technical specifications on MATV systems
• 2007 - AMMA: on preparation of feasibility study on SW/FM and TV stations
• 2006 - DWET: on preparation of feasibility study for SW Radio Station
• 2005 - UNECA: on preparation of technical specifications on CCTV systems
• 2004 - Gurage Zone: on preparation of technical specification for FM Radio.

Beginning
from September 1999, for one year Simon was a Research Assistant
for Addis Ababa University, he assisted the President of the foundation
of Ethiopian philosophy and African studies in data gathering
and data analysis, research preparation on gender issues in Ethiopia,
Organizing course modules for workshops in addition on composing
various research documents for use in workshops in different parts
of the country. Before working for the Addis Ababa University
he had been a Freelance Information Assistant for four months
(February-June 1999) for Inter Governmental Authority For Development
/IGAD/, he had prepared and compiled news from different International
Institutes for peace & Development and organized and took
minuets of meetings when necessary.
His hard tasks didn't only keep him at the capital city Addis
Ababa but it also contributed to his field experiences around
the country:

Broadcast
• SNNPR: 2003 Site survey for installation of TV transmitters
and different broadcast equipment
• Harar: 2000 Data gathering in gender issues
• Awassa: 2000 "Ethnic diversity in the use of local
languages: the case study of Southern Nations, Nationalities and
Peoples Regional State", a research paper submitted to Ethiopian
philosophy and African Studies.
All
this work and other experiences helped him for his proficiency
and commitment.
